Which danelectro distortion is better?

ok im getting a danelectro for my friend for his birthday. and he like just started so danelectro is good price for beginners. and he wants a metal one but not just metal. like one if u play around with the knobs u can get a rockish sound (like ac/dc).





so i wanted to know if the Danelectro D-3 FAB Metal Effect Pedal is better or the Danelectro DJ-21 Black Coffee Metal Distortion Pedal. i have been searching reviews on the internet and they all say FAB metal is better but i wasn%26#039;t sure.

The D-3 does get a slightly better rating on sound quality and better on overall.





I%26#039;m a guitarist but have never used these effects so I can%26#039;t give a personal review. But I%26#039;ve trusted and been happy with these reviews (given that you need to see what%26#039;s up with the reviewer sometimes they get overly emotional or sound kind of not %26quot;right%26quot;).
